All young people, regardless of their physical or mental ability, should have the chance to make friends, get forward in life, and blossom into their full potential. Though no one can argue with the merit of this concept, the reality is that underserved neighborhoods still lack adequate youth development programs. Thankfully, some forward-thinking local government units (LGUs) and private companies like sportsbook OKBET have begun working together covertly to assist tap into the potential of young people, including those with disabilities, for the greater good.
OKBet and MPBL gave 10 wheelchairs to the City Government
In support of the Local Government Unit’s (LGU) human mobility and people inclusion initiative. According to OKBet and MPBL, the contribution was made to assist the recipients particularly challenged youths in increasing their sense of personal independence and gaining access to additional development chances.

Giving support to GenSan’s wheelchair outreach program is very much in line with OKBet’s CSR initiatives, and we are really grateful for the chance to do so. People who have never had to use a wheelchair to go around probably don’t realize how freeing it is for someone with a handicap to use one. The younger recipients are disproportionately affected by this. They want to have busy, fruitful lives and fulfill their life’s ambitions. And OKBet and MPBL will always support that, according to a spokesperson for the company, Kristina Muniz.
OKBet has pledged to contribute significantly to the government’s youth development program in its capacity as a corporate citizen, after its recent certification by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) as one of the country’s leading sportsbook firms.

OKBet also helped fund a basketball sports clinic put on by the OKBet Sarangani Marlins and the Provincial Government of Sarangani. The goal of the clinic was to find and train young local basketball players who have a chance of becoming professional athletes in the future.
The OKBet Sarangani Marlins, MPBL, and Ekxinum Inc., along with the provincial government led by Gov. Rogelio D. Pacquiao, put on the sports clinic at the Sarangani Provincial Gym in Alabel town. The clinic had 70 hopeful participants.
Most of the young participants were from Alabel and nearby towns. They were 9 to 14 years old and had a great time showing the coaches and players of OKBet MPBL Sarangani Marlins what they could do.
“All the work that went into planning the event was worth it when I saw their energy and enthusiasm for the sport and their youthful optimism. I think they have what it takes to become sports stars if they keep training. Muniz said, “They are motivating, and they give sports fans in the Philippines something big to look forward to in the near future.”
OKBet has ongoing partnerships with LGUs in Sarangani and other places around the country where there is promising amateur sports talent. The sportsbook company said it is now finalizing plans to expand its programs for developing athletes at the grassroots level and hold them all over the country.
